Don’t Fear the Void Exercise
For You: The Void Audit
- Track Your Gap-Fillers: For three days, notice what you automatically reach for during quiet moments, like grabbing your phone, doing tasks, or engaging in planning. Simply observe without judgment. What patterns emerge?
- The Unstructured Hour: Block one hour this week with zero agenda. No goals, no productivity, no “should dos.” If anxiety arises about “wasting time,” sit with that feeling. What comes up when you’re not filling the space?
Your Team: Collective Stillness Practice
- Meeting Silence Bookends: Start meetings with sixty seconds of silent preparation (no devices, just breathing and arriving mentally) and end with thirty seconds of silent transition time before people rush off to their next commitment.
- The Single-Task Challenge: Have each team member choose one routine task they normally multitask while doing (emails, calls, planning) and commit to doing it solo for one week. Share observations about focus, quality, and mental state differences.
I’m Danielle B. Baldwin—coach, facilitator, keynote speaker, and proud firestarter.
I work with curious, courageous leaders who are ready to grow beyond what’s safe and into what’s next. Whether it’s in the boardroom, the backwoods, or the pages of my new book Sparking Greatness, I help people find clarity, ditch burnout, and lead with heart. My job? To make you feel seen, challenged, and just uncomfortable enough to change.
